This week I wrapped up staff portraits for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville. They are looking to update their website with a more unified collection of photographs than those that they currently have.
Barrie and I photographed the staff at four different locations: the main office downtown, the Habitat Store, a worksite off Cherry Avenue, and at Southwood Trailer Park, where Habitat runs a community center and has committed to infrastructure improvements.
Because we were shooting in various work environments, the pictures still have a distinctive tone depending on the location. But I think the overall feeling is far more unified--perhaps simply because a single photographer made the pictures instead of whoever happened to have a camera when a new shot was needed! In any case, it was a pleasure to photograph such a friendly group of people.
I look forward to the next phase of work with Habitat, which will involve more documentation of their services and mission in the greater Charlottesville area.
